A strategy for game strategies
Gambling is a big business and, like any other great shark in the sea, it provides income for other smaller industries working in its wake. The remora that engaged on the big white in this case is the industry that makes the guides and books that support to help you beat the casino, hit the jackpot and generally win more at the casino games you would ever dream of. But like any other offer that goes the same extreme, it sounds too good to be true. Are and is such literature worth the 20 dollar “special offer price tag”?
First, you need to realize that all popular casino games can be classified into two categories – memory and non-memory games. Contrary to what you might think now, “memory games” here do not refer to literal memory games like the elderly maid. The games that come into that category are casino card games like baccarat, blackjack or poker where every previous event will affect future cases (at least until the platform is shuffled). The same goes for every other game out there with a limited number of chances decreasing as the game goes on. That’s why card games are so prevalent in that category.
On the other hand, if you keep the same definition of memory games, you have non-memory games. Games in this category include games of chance such as slots and roulette where previous cases can not and do not influence the probability of certain events and the odds in each turn are identical to the one before it. That’s because the possibility or combination is not made unavailable once it’s coming – the game “does not remember” a combination came up before – hence the name.
Generally, gambling strategies and betting strategies are more likely to work with the first category. Casino card games and the other games in that category are skill games where you get to make decisions to several cases in each round. So there are several possible results for each situation and you can concretely help to push the situation towards a certain end. In fact, that’s what the strategies are supposed to do first, with the end winning the round or losing as little money as possible.
Regardless of whether you are using calculus, applied mathematics or quantum physics in your so-called strategy, it is practically impossible to change or interest the probability of results in non-memory games unless, of course, you equip equipment or dates of kick the slot machine. No matter how specialized or well-researched a strategy claims to be, it is most likely false if it says that it will make it win at slot games more often.
There are a lot of charlatans and cheats out there who can and will try to take advantage of the excitement of people for playing and greed for money in order to earn their own cash. Despite their obviously overblown claims and overpriced prices, many people fall unwittingly into the game of such conmen. Knowing about the game you play and being realistic about your chances of winning will keep them from starting in the same trap.
